Once the new Bellevue Railcar Manufacturing and Assembly Facility is complete, railcar manufacturing will be back in WA for the first time since the Midland Workshops closed in 1994.
Hofmann Engineering is bringing its bogie frame manufacturing experience to its Perth operations, to help build 246 new METRONET C-Series trains.
The new METRONET C-Series trains will have a distinctly local flavour with Bassendean company Hofmann Engineering being appointed by Alstom to manufacture the bogie frames for the trains.
