Works Midland Station

Midland Line Shutdown

The first half of the new Bayswater Station will open to passengers after a Midland Line closure from Friday 23 September–Sunday 16 October.

The 24-day shutdown is required to remove and replace about 1.8km of track and other rail systems, as well as expanding the existing Leake Street pedestrian underpass while continuing work on the new Bayswater Bridge.

The shutdown will also have some impacts on the Airport Line, the Prospector, AvonLink and MerredinLink services, and the Indian Pacific train, with Transwa services to leave from Midland Station during the closure.

For more information on the shutdown and to provide feedback, please visit Building For Tomorrow.
