Morley-Ellenbrook Line

MEL eDM

We all have a story to tell. Childhood memories of the past. Stories of what we value now. Visions of what the future can hold.

As we plan the Morley-Ellenbrook Line, we’d like to hear from you, the very people who live in the area, about the rich history that shaped your community, why you choose to call it home now, and what you’d like to see it become in the future.

To share your memories and stories or your local area, or your visions for the future of your community, come visit our pop-up stand at the following locations. It’s also a great opportunity to chat to the team and ask any questions about the project you might have.

If you can’t make the pop-up sessions or prefer to share your story from the comfort of your own home, you can visit www.mysaytransport.wa.gov.au/morley-ellenbrook-line for more information and to get involved.

           --------------------------------------------------------------

The Morley-Ellenbrook Line will serve Perth’s north-east suburbs to support existing communities with improved transport connections and create new communities through integrated station precincts.

To ensure the rail line represents the best outcome for local communities, work is underway on a route options analysis, including preliminary investigations, planning and concept design.

The options analysis will focus on potential locations for the rail line and design options for the rail line, including any grade separations, stations and the surrounding precincts.

The METRONET team will develop a comprehensive business case to achieve the best benefits for Ellenbrook and the wider Swan Urban Growth Corridor.

One option being considered is a 21km spur line from the existing Midland Line just east of Bayswater Station to connect communities in Morley, Noranda, Malaga, Bennett Springs, Whiteman and Ellenbrook.

Details on the construction method and timeframe will be developed and confirmed during the planning phase.
