The first C-series train is ready for passengers, marking a significant milestone for the METRONET WA Railcar Program. The train is the first of 41 that will join Perth’s rail network.
Two years ago we brought back local railcar manufacturing to Western Australia through the METRONET WA Railcar Program and now the first fully completed, locally manufactured C-series train is ready for testing on the network.
The METRONET WA Railcar Program family has grown with three new apprentices joining the team following completion of the ALSTOM Aboriginal 10-week pre-employment program earlier this year.
The first six-car C-series train has begun initial testing along the Joondalup Line as part of the METRONET WA Railcar Program.
