We’re really excited that the first design of the new Lakelands Station has dropped, providing the initial look and feel of the station.
Two artificial black cockatoo tree hollows were recently installed by METRONET in a nature reserve near the Lakelands Station project site.
The future station will be built seven kilometres north of Mandurah Station, with car park access off Ashwood Parkway and bus access from Lake Valley Drive.
Eight locals have now been chosen to form the Lakelands Station Community Reference Group (CRG), which will provide a local point of view for the project team as design and construction progresses.
People living and working around the future Lakelands Station are encouraged to apply to be part of the project’s Community Reference Group (CRG).
As part of the planning and early works for the Lakelands Station project geotechnical site investigations are currently taking place at the future station site.
The search has started for a contractor to design and construct Lakelands Station with the Request for Proposal released to market today.
Residents north of Mandurah will benefit from a new Mandurah Line station at Lakelands.
