Claremont Station Project

Project overview

A multimillion dollar project at Claremont Station will improve passenger’s experience at the station, increase service frequency and allow direct access to the Forrestfield-Airport Link.

Passengers between Claremont and Bayswater stations will greatly benefit when the Forrestfield-Airport Link opens, with a five-minute service frequency during peak times.

To allow this to happen, trains must be able to turn (back towards Perth) at a second location on the Fremantle Line. This arrangement is similar to infrastructure at Cockburn Station on the Mandurah Line.

Following an analysis of potential options the Public Transport Authority (PTA) has identified Claremont Station as the preferred location for this infrastructure. Additionally, a broader upgrade of the station’s facilities, including bringing the station up to current Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) standards, will be undertaken.

Community advisory group

We are calling for nominations from community members and local business owners to participate in our Community Advisory Group. This group will work with the project team to provide feedback on the preferred look and feel of the Station’s upgraded features and throughout the construction phase.

To nomination yourself to participate in this group ensure you comply with and agree to the Terms of Reference and submit your nomination here.

Nominations close Friday July 27.
